Most bookkeepers reconcile your accounts and send a P&L. I do that — and then I run your books through software I built myself, Voice Ledger, which reviews your QuickBooks file line by line, every single month.
It scans for 34 kinds of problems: duplicate bills, invoices and payments; miscoded and uncategorized expenses; personal charges in the business books; overdrawn accounts; money stuck in suspense and clearing accounts; vendors quietly raising prices; avoidable fees; and changes made to months that were already closed.
