AboutBenjamin Branson, MBA

I'm a detail-oriented, business-minded bookkeeper focused on helping owners understand their numbers clearly and confidently.

I hold an MBA, and I bring that training to every set of books I touch. You're not just getting data entry — you're getting someone who can tell you what your numbers actually mean: where your margin is going, which jobs are making money, and what your reports are trying to tell you.

I have a deep respect for the work that tradesmen, oilfield service providers, and local entrepreneurs do out here in West Texas, and I started Benjamin Branson Bookkeeping to take the financial friction out of growing a business.

Reliable bookkeeping isn't just about staying compliant at tax time. It's about giving an owner the clarity to make confident decisions the other eleven months of the year.

When I'm not in the books, I'm usually somewhere well outside of Texas — Alaska, Quebec, Honduras, Cozumel. I like perspective, and I bring the same thing to a set of financials.

I've Been on Your Side of the Job

Before the books, I ran a manual lathe in a fab shop — dialing in used drill shafts, welding rings, shaving them back to spec. I've done demolition with an asbestos license. I've run medical specimens across DFW, pulled parts out of warehouses with no air conditioning, loaded fifty-pound boxes into trailers in August, and swept eight parking lots a night for eleven dollars an hour.

I know what it costs to earn a dollar. The MBA came later — so now I know what happens to it after.

When I tell you your margin is thin on a job, I'm not reading it off a spreadsheet. I've been on the other end of that job.

Education & Training

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) — Western Governors University
  • Bachelor of Science — Western Governors University
  • Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate
  • In-person coursework at nearly every Tarrant County College campus, and business courses at the University of Texas at Arlington

Nearly 50 college courses in all — years of coursework and exams, team projects, and business presentations delivered in person. The fab shop taught me what it costs to earn a dollar. School taught me what happens to it after — and how to make it work harder.
